A useful swap rotation gives each Resonator a clear turn and a clear exit. You build Concerto Energy, prepare the action that matters for that turn, then hand control to the intended teammate. Problems appear when you swap before the handoff is ready, keep attacking after Concerto reaches its cap without a purpose, or bring in a Resonator whose important action is still unavailable.

For version 3.6, start with the shared rule: swapping at 100 Concerto Energy triggers the outgoing Resonator's Outro Skill and the incoming Resonator's Intro Skill. Build your rotation around that exchange. The worked example below follows an opener, a bridge, and a finisher through a complete cycle, with separate decisions for Resonance Liberation, defensive interruptions, and the return to the opening turn.

Your rotation depends on resources that answer different questions. Concerto Energy tells you whether the outgoing Resonator is ready to trigger the Outro and Intro exchange. Resonance Energy determines readiness for Resonance Liberation. Forte Circuit describes a Resonator's own resource or empowered mechanic. Checking one does not establish the state of the others.

Check these in the order your next decision requires. Before leaving a Resonator, inspect Concerto and the purpose of any unfinished action. Before committing to a Liberation window, inspect Resonance Energy. Before extending a turn for an empowered attack, inspect that Resonator's Forte Circuit conditions.

This distinction also improves your notes. Write "Concerto was short at the intended swap" or "Liberation was unavailable on entry." Writing only "needed more energy" hides the cause and makes the next attempt harder to adjust. You might otherwise add attacks to solve a Concerto problem when the actual delay was a Resonance Skill cooldown.

Forte Circuit mechanics are character-specific, so use the relevant Resonator's description when deciding what must happen before departure. Build Concerto with actions that serve the current turn

Attacks, Resonance Skills, Echo Skills, and dodges or parries contribute to building Concerto Energy. Treat these as parts of a combat sequence with different purposes. An attack can advance your offensive turn; a Resonance Skill can deliver the action you planned around; an Echo Skill can contribute its summon or transformation ability; a defensive response can protect you while helping the rotation progress.

The available research does not establish a fixed Concerto gain for every action. Do not turn the list of sources into a promise that a particular number of attacks always reaches 100. Observe the gauge while learning your own team, and use readiness as the exit condition.

Begin by learning a short sequence you can explain. For example, plan to use a Resonance Skill, follow with appropriate attacks, and assess whether an Echo Skill belongs before the handoff. This is a practice order, not a verified optimal combo for every Resonator. If Concerto fills earlier than expected, reassess the remaining actions instead of completing them automatically.

Give each action a reason to remain in the sequence. "This is the attack I prepared through Forte Circuit" is a reason. "This responds to the enemy's attack" is a reason. "I always press this button before swapping" is a habit worth testing. That distinction helps you shorten turns without deleting the action that made the turn useful.

Echo Skills deserve particular attention because they are active combat abilities. Include their execution in your rotation notes rather than considering only the stats on your Echo equipment. Turn 100 Concerto into a deliberate handoff

At 100 Concerto Energy, swapping out triggers your current Resonator's Outro Skill and the next Resonator's Intro Skill. The outgoing Outro supplies the handoff effect described in the combat research as a buff for the incoming Resonator. The incoming Intro supplies its own damage or utility on entry. These are distinct parts of the same exchange, owned by different Resonators.

Think through the direction before pressing the swap input. If the opener hands control to the bridge, you are activating the opener's Outro and the bridge's Intro. When the bridge later hands control to the finisher, that is a new exchange involving the bridge's Outro and the finisher's Intro. The order therefore determines who enters after each outgoing effect.

Use this sequence when practicing a planned handoff:

  1. Confirm that the active Resonator has reached 100 Concerto Energy.
  2. Check whether an essential action from the current turn still needs to be completed.
  3. Identify the teammate whose next action you are preparing.
  4. Swap to that teammate and follow the entry with the planned action.
  5. Start judging the new active Resonator's resources independently.

The incoming Resonator does not need to have built its own 100 Concerto for this entry trigger: the outgoing Resonator's full Concerto is the condition described for the exchange. The incoming Resonator's Concerto matters when planning its subsequent departure. Keeping these responsibilities separate prevents you from waiting on the wrong gauge.

A switch made before the outgoing gauge reaches 100 does not satisfy this standard handoff condition. You may still decide that changing the active Resonator is necessary, but do not count that switch as the prepared Outro and Intro exchange in your rotation notes. Labeling the difference makes failed handoffs much easier to diagnose.

Avoid overflow without discarding useful actions

Concerto Energy caps at 100. Any generation beyond that limit is wasted. You cannot build a larger Concerto reserve by continuing to attack at full gauge, so staying only to accumulate more Concerto has no benefit for the upcoming handoff.

Separate wasted energy from the value of the action producing it. An attack used at full Concerto may still be the empowered attack you deliberately prepared. Its potential Concerto gain is wasted, but that alone does not prove the attack should be removed. Judge whether the action completes something useful before deciding to shorten the turn.

Use a concrete departure rule: once Concerto is full and the current turn's necessary work is complete, swap to the intended recipient. If you remain, be able to name the reason. This makes overflow an observable tradeoff rather than an unnoticed consequence of continuing a familiar combo.

Do not estimate a lost-energy total without measured action gains. It is enough initially to record which actions happened while capped and why. That record identifies avoidable delays while keeping useful attacks available for a more informed decision.

Choose the recipient before arranging the team order

Start with the turn you most want to prepare. Decide which Resonator should receive the handoff immediately before that turn, then work backward to the outgoing Resonator. This makes the next action, rather than a memorized team-slot order, the reason for your sequence.

For planning, assign three positions: the opener starts the cycle, the bridge handles the middle turn, and the finisher performs the turn you are emphasizing before returning to the opener. These are labels for positions in this example. They do not establish a Resonator's permanent combat role or imply equal time on the field.

Before settling on an order, read the relevant Outro Skill and the recipient's intended action together. The shared system explains when the exchange happens; character descriptions determine what the individual effects do. Exact buff amounts, durations, and character-specific compatibility are not supplied by the research used here, so this guide does not prescribe a named optimal team.

Also decide what the bridge is accomplishing. Its turn should have a purpose of its own, such as using a planned attack sequence and preparing its next handoff. A middle slot should not become an unexplained pause between the opener and finisher.

Finally, plan the finisher's exit. A rotation is more useful when you can return to the opener and continue than when it explains only the first offensive sequence. Worked three-Resonator rotation: opener, bridge, finisher

This example is a complete practice cycle using three functional positions. Assign each position to a Resonator on your team. The opener begins with Concerto below 100; the bridge and finisher are the intended recipients in that order. Actions continue until the relevant readiness condition is met. There are no assumed starting energy amounts for the other Resonators and no fixed attack counts.

The objective is to complete opener to bridge, bridge to finisher, and finisher back to opener with each planned exchange prepared. A Resonance Liberation is included only when its own energy requirement is met and its timing serves that turn. The table does not assume that reaching full Concerto also makes Liberation ready.

Walk through the first exchange slowly. The opener's task is to prepare its own departure, so you watch the opener's Concerto. Once the gauge is full and the useful opening actions are complete, you select the bridge. The bridge now has an entry event to follow with its own planned sequence. Its job includes preparing the next departure, which requires checking its own Concerto.

At the second exchange, the finisher receives the bridge's handoff. If you planned a Liberation here, inspect Resonance Energy before treating the entry as a burst opportunity. If it is unavailable, execute the alternative actions you selected for the finisher. Do not describe the missing cast as a failed Concerto trigger when the swap itself worked correctly.

The return preparation is deliberately separate from the finisher's emphasized attack sequence. Completing that sequence does not establish that the finisher has full Concerto. Check it. Conversely, if Concerto is already full and the planned work is done, the return does not require an extra familiar attack string.

When the opener returns, review the state you actually have. The first turn and the repeated turn may call for different decisions because you must account for current skill and resource readiness. Keep separate notes for opening the fight and continuing the loop. This prevents a successful opening sequence from being mistaken for proof that the entire rotation repeats unchanged.

Pace Resonance Liberation around readiness and opportunity

Resonance Liberation requires full Resonance Energy, which fills through combat. Plan its position separately from the Concerto handoff. You can prepare a successful Outro and Intro exchange while still needing to resolve when the receiving Resonator's Liberation becomes available.

Give the cast a purpose before assigning it a place. You might want it during the finisher's prepared offensive turn, or you might hold it for an enemy stagger window. The combat research identifies stagger as an opportunity for increased damage while the enemy is immobilized, and specifically notes the value of holding Liberation for those windows in boss fights and Tower of Adversity.

Use a decision process that accounts for both resources and the enemy:

  1. Check whether Resonance Energy is full when the intended cast point arrives.
  2. If it is not full, continue with the useful actions available for that turn and note the missing readiness.
  3. If it is full, assess whether the target presents the offensive opportunity you planned around.
  4. Cast when the opportunity is present, or deliberately reserve the cast for the stagger window you are preparing.
  5. After the attack sequence, recheck Concerto before making the next planned handoff.

Holding a Liberation should remain an active decision. If you keep waiting for a stagger that you are making little progress toward, reconsider the plan. The research supports exploiting stagger; it does not provide a rule that every Liberation must be saved for it. You need a usable cast opportunity, not a permanently deferred button press.

Likewise, do not make every handoff wait for Liberation by default. In the worked example, the bridge's completed turn and full Concerto provide a reason to move to the finisher. Adding an indefinite wait for the bridge's unavailable Liberation changes the purpose of that turn. Decide whether that cast is essential to the sequence before accepting the delay.

During practice, record whether Liberation was available at its planned point and whether you used or held it. These observations help you distinguish an energy-readiness problem from a timing decision. Exact energy costs, cooldowns, and repeatable cast schedules for individual Resonators are outside the supplied research, so no universal Liberation frequency is assumed here.

Spend the Outro window on the recipient's planned action

Outro buffs last a short time after the swap. The practical consequence is that the recipient should enter with a purpose already chosen. Searching for a target, deciding which sequence to use, or discovering that the intended action is unavailable after entry makes the window harder to use effectively.

Prepare the receiving turn before departure. Know which Resonator you are selecting, which action should follow its Intro Skill, and what alternative you will use if Liberation is unavailable. This reduces the decisions you must make after the handoff has already happened.

Do not assume that an effect created by the opener will cover the finisher merely because both belong to the same team. The worked cycle establishes separate exchanges. Any claim that a particular Outro effect persists through another swap, transfers again, or stacks with another effect requires that skill's specific rules. The shared research does not establish those details.

The same care applies to buff compatibility. Receiving an Outro effect and having the intended attack benefit from it are questions to check together. Use the relevant skill description to establish the effect's conditions before choosing the recipient. This guide supplies no universal buff percentage or fixed duration that can replace that check.

For a simple practice adjustment, choose the recipient's first purposeful action in advance, then review whether you performed it after entry. If you instead spent the turn improvising, simplify that entry sequence. If the action was unavailable, revise its preparation or choose an alternative. Those are concrete improvements you can evaluate without claiming a precise damage increase.

Keep optional setup under review as well. Adding an Echo Skill or another action after entry should serve the planned turn. When the sequence feels crowded, examine the order of those actions against the actual Outro conditions rather than assuming every available button belongs inside the same short window.

Let defensive responses update the rotation

Enemy attacks can change the next useful action. Dodges and parries are part of the documented Concerto-building system, so a defensive interruption should prompt a fresh resource check rather than an automatic return to the point where you left the script.

A Perfect Dodge occurs with last-moment timing and enables a Dodge Counter through the next Basic Attack. If you use that response, reassess Concerto afterward. Your planned sequence may now need a different continuation. Do not add the remainder of an attack string solely because it appeared in the original notes.

Parries require the appropriate enemy cue: a golden highlight indicates the opportunity described in the research. Landing a Basic Attack or a skill capable of parrying into that attack interrupts it and removes a substantial amount of Vibration Strength. Dodging is the defensive answer described for unblockable attacks and grabs; do not treat every incoming attack as a parry opportunity.

Vibration Strength connects defense to offensive scheduling. Damage from sources including Heavy Attacks, parries, and certain skills can deplete it. Once depleted, the enemy becomes staggered, immobilized, and vulnerable to increased damage for a brief window. That is the opening your reserved Liberation may be intended to exploit.

For example, suppose the bridge is preparing its departure when an enemy attack calls for a defensive response. Resolve the attack, then inspect both the bridge's Concerto and the enemy's state. If the bridge is ready to hand off and the enemy is staggered, assess whether the finisher can use the opportunity. If Concerto remains short, the planned full exchange still needs preparation.

Repair the decision that caused a rotation mistake

When a rotation breaks down, identify the earliest decision that stopped matching the plan. A missing Intro, an unavailable Liberation, and an extended turn at full Concerto have different causes. Repeating the entire sequence faster may preserve the same problem.

A forced early switch deserves special treatment. If you leave before reaching the standard Concerto threshold, acknowledge that the planned exchange was not prepared. On the new active Resonator, assess the resources and actions available now. Work toward a deliberate next handoff instead of assuming the previous buff and Intro occurred.

If you select the wrong recipient at full Concerto, review the exchange that actually happened. The next turn belongs to the Resonator you brought in. Do not base subsequent actions on an unverified assumption that the outgoing effect will transfer to your originally intended recipient through another immediate switch.

Change the smallest part of the plan that addresses the cause. A selection error calls for practicing the handoff input and target. A readiness error calls for a gauge check or revised sequence. Keeping the correction specific helps you see whether the next attempt solved the original problem.

Practice the loop in passes with distinct objectives

Build a rotation you can repeat and explain before pursuing tighter execution. Use a familiar encounter so your attention can stay on the decision being practiced. Keep the team and intended order consistent while checking one part of the sequence at a time.

  5. Practice interruption recovery. After a dodge, parry, or necessary early switch, reassess the current state and prepare the next achievable handoff.
  6. Inspect the repeated cycle. Continue through the return to the opener and check which opening assumptions no longer apply.

Keep your observations concrete. A useful note reads: "The bridge reached full Concerto before the final attack string; that string had no planned Forte purpose, so I will try leaving earlier." Another reads: "The finisher entered correctly, but Liberation was unavailable; I need an entry sequence that remains useful in that state." Each identifies an event and a specific adjustment.

Do not assign your team a universal cycle deadline. The research does not provide measured, character-specific sequences from which to establish one. Judge progress first by successful handoffs, fewer purposeless actions at full Concerto, prepared entries, and deliberate Liberation timing. Once those decisions remain reliable through the return to the opener, shorten the pauses you can actually observe between them.
