Wuthering Waves Endgame Checklist: Level 90 Builds, Echo Sets, and Every Reward Cycle

Updated 2026-09 Game version 3.6 Reading time 21 min

Verified against the released game (v3.6). Where sources disagree, we say so.

A level 90 Resonator can still have unfinished Forte upgrades, an underleveled weapon, or an incomplete Sonata Effect. A cleared combat mode can still have unclaimed rewards. Account completion needs a separate check for each of those states; the level beside your favorite Resonator cannot stand in for the whole account.

Use this checklist for version 3.6, released on August 20, 2026. It covers permanent investment, the current round of periodic rewards, and exploration cleanup. Apply the build checks to your active teams first, then extend them across your owned roster if full account completion is your goal. The boxes describe this guide's audit standard; they are not an official graduation achievement or a promise that every encounter requires maximum investment.

Set a completion standard you can actually check

Give each Resonator an individual record for level, ascensions, Forte, weapon, and Echoes. Keep mode rewards in a separate record with the relevant cycle written beside them. This lets you preserve a completed build while reopening the reward checks when a mode resets.

  • Every owned Resonator you intend to complete has an investment record.
  • Your active teams are identified so that unfinished builds have a clear priority.
  • Permanent rewards and periodic rewards have separate claim checks.
  • Optional duplicate upgrades have their own targets and budget.
Account area Completion evidence When to review it
Resonator progression Level 90, six ascensions, completed Forte upgrades When raising a Resonator
Weapon progression Level 90 and a recorded Syntonize Rank When changing weapons or obtaining duplicates
Echo loadout Five suitable pieces, Cost 12 layout, completed tuning and intended full set When replacing an Echo
Data Bank Level 30 reached During collection progress
Endgame rewards Every available reward in the relevant cycle claimed At each mode's reset or new iteration
Exploration Regional objectives completed and their rewards collected While clearing each region

Keep an unfinished box specific. Write that a Resonator needs a particular Weekly Challenge material, or that a loadout lacks its final Sonata piece. A note such as "needs more farming" gives you no way to decide between a Boss Challenge and a Tacet Field.

Syntonize Rank 5 can be your strict weapon completion target, while a lower rank remains a deliberate stopping point. Record that distinction openly. It prevents a duplicate-dependent upgrade from obscuring all the progression you have already completed.

Finish Resonator levels and all six ascensions

Resonators reach level 90 through six ascensions. The ascension checkpoints sit at levels 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. Check the final level after clearing the last ascension: unlocking room for more levels and actually filling that room are separate tasks.

  • All six ascensions are complete for each Resonator on your current build list.
  • Each of those Resonators has reached level 90.
  • Any Union Level or SOL3 Phase requirement blocking progress has been identified.
  • The next unfinished ascension has an itemized material list.

Ascension materials come from different activities. You need the Resonator's designated Overlord Class boss material, the relevant common enemy drops, regional specialties, and Shell Credits. Common materials have LF, MF, HF, and FF tiers; record the actual item and tier your upgrade requests instead of treating every core as interchangeable.

Regional specialties can be gathered in the open world without spending Waveplate. Pair that collection with nearby exploration objectives when practical. Use Resonance Potions for Resonator EXP; the research identifies Simulation Challenges, events, and shops as sources. Keeping EXP supplies separate from ascension materials makes the remaining work easier to price from your own inventory.

  1. Inspect the next ascension or level upgrade.
  2. Record what you own and what the upgrade still requires.
  3. Separate open-world gathering from reward claims that consume Waveplate.
  4. Finish the relevant account progression requirement if it blocks the upgrade.
  5. Apply the upgrade and check the new level before marking the record complete.

The supplied research does not verify exact material counts for every ascension tier. Use the quantities shown for your Resonator rather than an assumed universal bill. The Resonator leveling guide explains the progression ladder in more detail.

Complete Forte and budget the 26 weekly materials

A capped Resonator level leaves another substantial checklist on the Forte board. The five upgradeable branches are Basic Attack, Resonance Skill, Resonance Liberation, Forte Circuit, and Intro Skill. Each branch reaches level 10.

  • Basic Attack is level 10.
  • Resonance Skill is level 10.
  • Resonance Liberation is level 10.
  • Forte Circuit is level 10.
  • Intro Skill is level 10.
  • The Forte board has been checked for any remaining upgrades before calling it maxed.

The research gives 26 weekly-boss Skill Upgrade Materials per Resonator to max all skills. Treat that as the total material requirement for the full skill project. It is not the number of Weekly Challenge reward claims you need, and it does not replace the other materials required by those upgrades.

Forte also consumes Forgery Challenge materials and common drops. Keep each requirement on its own line. If weekly materials are the remaining blocker, more ordinary ascension boss materials will not close that gap. Conversely, holding the weekly materials does not complete a branch whose other requirements remain unfunded.

For a partially raised Resonator, inspect the remaining upgrades rather than budgeting another full set of 26 materials. Mark materials already spent as completed work. This is especially useful when comparing a nearly finished support with a newly started damage dealer: the same "unfinished Forte" label can hide very different remaining jobs.

Weekly Challenge rewards are limited to three claims per week across the shared Calamity Class boss pool, with a Monday reset. Check which boss supplies the material needed by your current project before using that allowance. The research does not establish a universal material yield that would let you convert 26 materials into a guaranteed completion date.

Finishing this section verifies the actual skill investment behind a level 90 label. If you intentionally stop a less-used branch below its cap, record that as a practical build decision and keep the strict maximum box open. Use the Forte upgrade guide and weekly boss guide to organize the remaining materials.

Raise weapons to 90 and record Syntonize separately

Weapon levels and Syntonize ranks improve different parts of a weapon. Base stats grow through levels and ascensions. Syntonize strengthens the passive, which is already active at Rank 1. Audit both fields so that a high rank cannot hide missing levels, or a capped level hide your remaining duplicate goal.

  • Every weapon assigned to a completed build is level 90.
  • Its six ascensions are complete.
  • Its passive has been read and checked against the intended user.
  • Its current Syntonize Rank and intended stopping rank are recorded.
  • Available duplicate copies have been reviewed for the chosen Syntonize target.
  • Syntonize has been raised to the chosen rank; the strict maximum target is Rank 5.

Weapons use the same ascension checkpoints as Resonators: 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. Their progression materials include Forgery Challenge drops, Tacet Discord core drops, and Shell Credits. Energy Cores provide weapon EXP; they serve a different leveling track from Resonance Potions.

Syntonize consumes a duplicate weapon to advance one rank, up to Rank 5. A higher rank therefore requires copies of that weapon. More Energy Cores cannot substitute for those copies. If your target is a raised rank that you can reach with duplicates already owned, apply that target explicitly; if your target is the absolute cap, keep Rank 5 as the outstanding condition.

Before consuming a duplicate, consider whether you want to preserve another usable copy for your roster. That is an account planning choice, not a universal instruction to combine every duplicate immediately. This checklist does not require spending Astrite to turn a Rank 1 weapon into a Rank 5 weapon.

Check weapon type when assigning a build. The five types are Sword, Broadblade, Pistols, Gauntlets, and Rectifier, and each Resonator uses one type. Consult the weapon leveling guide for upgrade planning and the weapons guide when reviewing your available equipment.

Assemble five Echoes within the Cost 12 budget

Every Resonator has five Echo slots. The maximum equip budget is Cost 12, reached at Data Bank level 9. The standard endgame arrangement is 4 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 1. Use that arrangement as the structural checkpoint before judging tuning quality.

  • All five Echo slots are occupied.
  • The loadout uses the intended Cost 12 arrangement.
  • Each piece is a 5-star Echo selected for long-term investment.
  • Every main stat has a purpose in the build.
  • The equipped main Echo and its Echo Skill have been checked.
Slot in the standard layout Echo class What to inspect
Cost 4 Overlord or Calamity Main stat, Echo Skill, and Sonata membership
First Cost 3 Elite Main stat and intended Sonata membership
Second Cost 3 Elite Main stat and intended Sonata membership
First Cost 1 Common Relevant ATK%, HP%, or DEF% main stat
Second Cost 1 Common Relevant ATK%, HP%, or DEF% main stat

The Cost total verifies that the arrangement fits; it does not measure how well the stats serve the Resonator. For example, the Cost 3 pool includes elemental DMG Bonus and Energy Regen alongside percentage stats. Choose according to the build's needs instead of accepting a piece solely because it fills an empty slot.

Do this inspection before paying for the final levels and tuning. If you already know a piece has the wrong main stat or belongs to a set you intend to replace, mark it as temporary. The Echo system guide explains the slot structure, while the next checks establish whether your chosen pieces are actually finished.

Finish tuning without making perfect rolls the finish line

Gold Echoes reach level +25 and support five substats. Tuning becomes available at +5, +10, +15, +20, and +25, using Tuners and Shell Credits. Check the revealed substats as well as the level: reaching +25 alone does not establish that every tuning milestone has been completed.

  • Each retained endgame Echo is +25.
  • All five tuning milestones are complete on each retained piece.
  • The revealed substats have been reviewed for the intended build.
  • Temporary pieces remain identifiable as replacement candidates.
  • A replacement is checked for main stat, Cost, and Sonata membership before equipping it.

Revealed substats cannot be changed or re-rolled. If a piece develops in an unsuitable direction, your decision is whether to keep investing, use it temporarily, or look for a replacement. Do not budget around a future re-tuning step that the research does not support.

Separate completed tuning from ideal tuning. You can verify five revealed substats, but this checklist has no sourced universal Crit target or required combination for every Resonator. Set your acceptance standard around the build's job, then record whether the piece meets it. A functional loadout can have further improvement potential without making every previous upgrade meaningless.

Inspect a candidate at each tuning milestone before committing more resources. Exact Tuner and Shell Credits costs per slot are unresolved in the research, so this guide does not attach an exact price to a fully tuned set. Use your displayed costs when deciding whether to continue. The Echo tuning guide covers this decision in greater depth.

Activate the intended full Sonata Effect

A collection of leveled Echoes still needs a set check. The documented Sonata structure includes a 2-piece bonus and a stronger conditional 5-piece bonus. For this checklist's full-set target, confirm the intended 5-piece effect rather than assuming matching stats establish set completion.

  • The intended full Sonata Effect is active.
  • The equipped pieces belong to the intended set.
  • You understand the condition that activates its stronger bonus.
  • Your combat sequence includes the action needed to activate that condition.
  • A saved Echo Preset reflects the finished loadout, if you use presets.

Set names and the associated role or element give you a starting point. Freezing Frost is associated with Glacio, Molten Rift with Fusion, Void Thunder with Electro, Sierra Gale with Aero, Celestial Light with Spectro, and Sun-Sinking Eclipse with Havoc. Rejuvenating Glow supports healing, while Moonlit Clouds is associated with Energy Regen. Those associations do not establish a universal best set for every Resonator of an element.

Read the set's actual condition alongside your rotation. A conditional bonus deserves its own check because owning the pieces and using their effect are different jobs. Also recheck the set after replacing an Echo: an attractive new substat line should prompt a full loadout review.

The research also documents combining two 2-piece bonuses. If you deliberately use that arrangement while farming, record it as your current choice and leave the full-set target unfinished. The Sonata Effects guide provides the set overview; this audit avoids inventing bonus values for sets whose complete numbers are not verified.

Reach Data Bank 30 through collection progress

Data Bank level 30 is the account completion target in the supplied research. Its value extends beyond one Resonator because the Data Bank is account-wide. Use its collection progress to direct Echo hunting instead of repeating the same familiar enemies without checking what you still need.

  • Data Bank level 30 has been reached.
  • Missing collection entries have been reviewed while leveling it.
  • SOL3 Phase requirements have been checked if progress is gated.
  • Useful Echoes are protected before any Data Merge cleanup.
Data Bank level Documented milestone
5 3-star Echo drops become available
8 4-star Echo drops become available
9 The full Cost 12 equip budget is available
15 5-star Echo drops become available
21 Echo drops are 5-star only
30 The documented level cap is reached

First absorption provides Data Bank EXP; duplicates do not. That makes a missing entry a different objective from another copy farmed for a better build. Decide which objective you are pursuing before choosing a route. Data Bank 21 completes the documented rarity progression, while level 30 remains the account cap target.

Data Merge unlocks at Data Bank level 8 with SOL3 Phase 3. It consumes five Echoes to produce a new Echo, with rarity odds tied to Data Bank level. Equipped, upgraded, and locked Echoes cannot be merged. Review unwanted pieces carefully and protect candidates you still want to inspect.

The research flags the specific enhanced-absorption changes at levels 27 and 30 for further verification against official patch notes. They are excluded from this checklist's numerical promises. You can pursue the level cap without relying on an unsettled weekly allowance. See the Data Bank guide for collection planning.

Check the teams behind the individual builds

Before treating your roster as ready for every reward check, test the teams you actually plan to field. Whimpering Wastes uses two halves with a three-Resonator team in each half. Tower of Adversity also requires attention to Vigor. These mechanics make roster allocation part of completion.

  • Both intended Whimpering Wastes teams have assigned builds.
  • Tower assignments account for the Vigor shown in the mode.
  • Each team has a practiced sequence for its main actions and swaps.
  • Any failed attempt has a specific follow-up: investment, execution, or team allocation.

The combat research describes swapping at 100 Concerto Energy to trigger the outgoing Outro Skill and incoming Intro Skill. Check that handoff during practice. A fully raised Intro Skill or a useful Outro Skill still needs to fit into the sequence you perform.

Avoid setting a universal number of finished trios or demanding one fully raised Resonator of every element. The supplied research does not establish those as completion requirements. Let the mode's team structure and your observed problems determine the next build. The team-building basics and quick-swap rotations guide help turn equipment records into usable teams.

Claim Tower rewards by zone and current cycle

Tower of Adversity unlocks at Union Level 15. Stable Zone and Experimental Zone have one-time rewards, while Hazard Zone resets periodically. Keep those claims separate so that an old first clear does not masquerade as completion of the current Hazard cycle.

  • Stable Zone objectives and their one-time rewards are complete.
  • Experimental Zone objectives and their one-time rewards are complete.
  • Every reward available in the current Hazard Zone cycle has been earned and claimed.
  • Every other available Tower objective is complete and its rewards are claimed.
  • The next Hazard deadline is recorded from the mode's displayed timer.

The supplied sources disagree on whether the Hazard reset interval is 14 or 28 days. This guide cannot resolve that disagreement from the local research. Use the timer in the current mode to schedule attempts, and keep the disputed interval out of your income calculations.

Vigor limits Resonator use in the Tower. Check the displayed availability before allocating your strongest team, then plan the remaining encounters around it. The research does not provide enough verified detail to invent a universal floor assignment or a guaranteed roster size for full rewards.

For each unfinished reward, record whether the obstacle is clearing the encounter, satisfying its displayed objective, or collecting an already earned reward. Those require different next actions. A claim check is especially useful after several attempts, when you may remember the successful battle more clearly than the reward screen.

The research estimates roughly 800 Astrite per Hazard cycle. Treat that as a planning estimate rather than a verified version 3.6 reward total. The Tower of Adversity guide provides the dedicated mode overview; use the current reward entries to determine when this cycle's checklist is complete.

Finish both layers of Whimpering Wastes rewards

Whimpering Wastes is a permanent scoring mode with one-time Forbidden Waters rewards and monthly-reset Respawn areas. Its documented unlock requirements include Union Level 30, Rinascita story progress, and the tutorial quest. Opening the mode and finishing its rewards are separate account milestones.

  • The unlock requirements and tutorial are complete.
  • Forbidden Waters objectives and one-time rewards are complete.
  • Both halves of the stages you are attempting have prepared teams.
  • All current monthly reward objectives have been reached and claimed.
  • The current Tokens and remaining reset time have been reviewed.

The documented structure has 12 stages across three areas, with two halves per stage and three Resonators assigned to each half. Tokens provide equippable run buffs. Read the current choices before repeating an unsuccessful attempt; equipment investment and the mode's own buff system both belong in your preparation.

The research separates 800 one-time Astrite from approximately 800 Astrite per monthly rotation. Preserve that distinction in your records. Finishing the initial rewards does not make the same one-time amount available every month, and a monthly claim should not be counted again as permanent progression.

The research describes no catch-up for missed monthly rewards. Give the current rotation a dated checklist and revisit it before its timer ends. An unfinished permanent objective can remain on your long-term list while you prioritize a periodic reward deadline.

Do not invent a score threshold from the documented area totals. Check the reward requirement displayed for the current objective, then work backward from the gap in your result. The Whimpering Wastes guide covers the mode's structure and scoring approach.

Complete the current Depths of Illusive Realm iteration

Depths of Illusive Realm is a roguelike mode organized into themed version iterations. It unlocks at Union Level 17 and has no Waveplate cost. That makes it worth checking even when your next ordinary build upgrade is waiting on regeneration or weekly materials.

  • The current iteration's available challenge objectives are complete.
  • Every earned reward has been claimed.
  • Thought Evolution upgrades have been reviewed and advanced where available.
  • Anomaly Investigation achievements have been checked for unfinished objectives.
  • Any remaining rewards have a plan before the iteration ends.

The mode supplies maxed Resonators and uses its own buffs, Tokens, and Metasymbols. Its progress therefore deserves a separate assessment from your overworld equipment list. An unfinished personal Echo set is not enough information to decide that you should postpone the mode.

Thought Evolution supplies permanent upgrades within the mode. The research does not establish how that progress carries between different version iterations, so check the current iteration's state before relying on previous investment. Review the available upgrades after attempts and connect your next choice to the problem you encountered.

The recorded Astrite amount is approximately 800 per cycle, not an exact verified version 3.6 payout. Inspect challenge rewards and Anomaly Investigation separately so that finishing the main sequence does not hide an unfinished side objective. Use the Depths of Illusive Realm guide when planning runs, and keep your checklist tied to the iteration you are actually playing.

Add Rhapsody to the weekly reward check

Phantasma Dreamland: Rhapsody is a permanent mode introduced in version 3.4. It has a weekly cadence through the Guidebook, with Union Level 30 and completion of the permanent Phantasma Dreamland event listed as prerequisites.

  • The prerequisite permanent event is complete.
  • The current weekly Rhapsody objectives have been inspected.
  • Every available weekly reward has been earned and claimed.
  • Strange Encounters and Relics have been reviewed for the current attempt.

Keep this check separate from Depths of Illusive Realm. Rhapsody's weekly schedule needs its own reminder even when you have already completed the current Depths iteration. The documented buff systems are Strange Encounters and Relics; read their choices as part of preparation.

The supplied research does not establish an exact Rhapsody reward payout. Record the rewards actually available instead of assigning it the approximate Astrite amount listed for another mode. The Phantasma Dreamland guide provides the dedicated overview. Choose a regular day for this weekly audit, while using the current in-game deadline to confirm that your timing fits.

Collect exploration rewards after clearing the map objectives

Exploration has both a completion state and a collection state. Opening a chest, collecting a Sonance Casket, and claiming an exploration milestone are different actions. Your world checklist should account for each before you call a region finished.

  • Supply chests, puzzles, and points of interest have been completed by region.
  • Each region on the completion list has reached 100% Exploration Progress.
  • Sonance Caskets have been collected and exchanged for their available rewards.
  • Resonance Beacons and Nexuses have been checked.
  • Relevant Tacet Discord exploration objectives have been completed.
  • Every available Exploration Progress reward has been claimed.
  • Pioneer Association rewards and available Survey Tasks have been reviewed.

The documented Exploration Progress reward intervals are 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%, with claims at the Pioneer Association in Jinzhou. Check each available milestone instead of waiting until the end of a regional sweep. Survey Tasks unlock at Union Level 14. The current Pioneer Association rank cap is unverified, so no specific rank ceiling is used as a completion requirement here.

Organize your remaining map work across Huanglong, including Jinzhou, Mt. Firmament, and Mengzhou; the Black Shores; Rinascita; and Lahai-Roi and the Roya Frostlands. The Region Guide, added in version 3.0, provides another place to review regional activity. Keep separate notes for objectives completed and rewards still awaiting collection.

  1. Choose one region with unfinished objectives.
  2. Review its remaining exploration categories and available travel points.
  3. Combine the route with any regional specialties your Resonators still need.
  4. Exchange collected items and claim the newly available milestones.
  5. Record the next specific objective before moving to another region.

Use the Huanglong exploration guide, Rinascita exploration guide, and Roya exploration guide for regional planning. This checklist avoids assigning an unverified exact rollout version to flight in older regions; plan with the traversal options available in your current area.

Turn the remaining boxes into your next farming session

After the audit, choose the next activity from an actual missing requirement. Repeated farming only advances this checklist when its rewards connect to an unfinished box.

Remaining requirement Documented source to inspect
Resonator ascension boss material The designated Overlord Class Boss Challenge
Weapon or Forte Forgery material The relevant Forgery Challenge
Weekly Forte material The relevant Calamity Class Weekly Challenge
Resonator EXP or Shell Credits Simulation Challenges and available supplies
Echo sets and Tuners Tacet Fields and Tacet Suppression rewards
Regional specialties Open-world gathering
  • The next Waveplate expenditure serves a named upgrade.
  • Remaining weekly boss claims are allocated to needed Forte materials.
  • The nearest periodic reward deadline has an available play session.
  • Current event and Pioneer Podcast rewards have been checked where applicable.

The documented Waveplate cap is 240, with one Waveplate regenerated every six minutes. Forgery Challenge claims cost 40; Tacet Field and Boss Challenge claims cost 60. Exact Simulation Challenge and Weekly Challenge claim costs remain unverified in the supplied research, so inspect those costs before committing your budget.

End the audit by choosing a concrete next action: gather the missing specialty, finish a Forte branch, replace the Echo that breaks the intended set, or claim the reward already earned. Put that action beside its specific unfinished box. The Waveplate priority guide and daily and weekly routine can then help schedule the work you have actually identified.
