Wuthering Waves F2P Astrite Guide: Free Sources, Pull Values, and Pity Savings

Updated 2026-09 Game version 3.6 Reading time 18 min

Verified against the released game (v3.6). Where sources disagree, we say so.

Your free Astrite budget depends on what your account can still claim. An unfinished exploration region, a combat mode with refreshing rewards, and an anniversary login campaign contribute in different ways. Adding their headline totals together can make a savings target look much closer than it actually is.

For version 3.6, released August 20, 2026, the documented sources include Tower of Adversity, Whimpering Wastes, Depths of Illusive Realm, exploration reward claims, limited events, login campaigns, and redemption codes. This guide separates their availability and reward limits, converts supported amounts at 160 Astrite per pull, and gives you a savings framework for a Featured Resonator Convene. Where the research lacks a payout or contains a disagreement, the budget leaves that figure open.

Build your income list around claimable rewards

Start by sorting rewards into three groups: permanent rewards you have not collected, rewards available during the current rotation, and limited distributions with their own conditions. Keep claimed currency in your balance and unclaimed rewards in a separate list. That prevents a completed activity from appearing as both money you own and money you still expect.

Source Documented reward basis Availability to track
Tower of Adversity first clears 100 Astrite per documented one-time stage reward; approximately 2,500 for the reported full first clear Remaining first-clear claims
Tower of Adversity Hazard Zone Approximately 800 Astrite per cycle Current cycle; reset interval disputed
Whimpering Wastes Forbidden Waters 800 Astrite one time Unclaimed permanent rewards
Whimpering Wastes refreshing areas 800 Astrite monthly in the research ledger Monthly rewards your score earns
Depths of Illusive Realm Approximately 800 Astrite per cycle Current version's iteration
Exploration and Pioneer Association Progress reward intervals documented; exact Astrite amounts absent Individual unclaimed exploration rewards
Events and version login rewards Campaign-specific; no complete version total documented Announced requirements and claim windows
Second anniversary login campaign 40 free pulls documented Historical version 3.3 distribution
Livestream redemption codes Astrite and materials; exact totals absent Code validity and successful redemption

These rows are a source inventory, not an account payout estimate. Unlocking a mode does not establish that you can earn its full rewards. Likewise, a reward distributed in an earlier version does not establish that a returning account can claim it today.

For each accessible source, record the reward still available, the requirement you have left, and any displayed deadline. This gives you a useful order of work: an attainable reward approaching expiry can take priority over permanent progress that remains available. If the requirement is beyond your current teams, leave it outside your committed pull budget until you make progress.

Convert Astrite into the pulls your target uses

The standard exchange is 160 Astrite for one Tide. Radiant Tide is used for Featured Resonator Convene, Forging Tide for Featured Weapon Convene, and Lustrous Tide for standard and novice Convenes. Track these currencies separately because their banner destinations differ.

Astrite amount Whole pulls at 160 each Astrite left over
100 0 100
800 5 0
1,600 10 0
2,500 15 100
6,400 40 0
12,800 80 0
25,600 160 0

These are arithmetic conversions. They do not make an approximate reward estimate exact: approximately 2,500 Astrite remains an approximate source amount even though exactly 2,500 would buy 15 pulls and leave 100 Astrite.

For a regular Featured Resonator target, count your existing Radiant Tide and add the whole pulls your unspent Astrite can buy. Keep the remainder as Astrite. If a hypothetical account owns 800 Astrite and five Radiant Tide, it has ten pulls available for that banner type. Five Lustrous Tide would belong in a separate balance.

A free-pull announcement also needs its currency breakdown before it can enter a specific banner budget. The research documents separate collaboration currencies, Dreamcatcher Tide and Shadowforge Tide, and separate collaboration pity. A large combined Tide balance can therefore overstate what you have for one target. The Convene guide covers the individual pools; this budget uses regular Featured Resonator rules unless stated otherwise.

Claim Tower of Adversity rewards without multiplying the first clear

Tower of Adversity opens at Union Level 15. Its Stable and Experimental Zones provide one-time rewards, while the Hazard Zone has periodic reward resets. The research records 100 Astrite per one-time stage reward, an approximate 2,500 Astrite full first-clear total, and approximately 800 Astrite per Hazard cycle.

Treat the first-clear total as an overall reference. The research does not provide a complete itemized table showing how every stage and zone contributes to that aggregate. Adding 2,500 Astrite to all the stage rewards would risk counting the same claims twice. Your actual remaining permanent balance is the sum of rewards you have not collected.

Once a permanent reward has entered your balance, remove it from your outstanding source list. Repeating a permanent stage does not make its first-clear Astrite a recurring income stream.

Hazard needs a different record. Sources disagree on whether its reset interval is 14 or 28 days. The supplied research explicitly leaves that unresolved, so a reliable budget cannot multiply its approximate 800-Astrite reward by an assumed number of monthly resets. Use the current in-game timer for your immediate plan and keep the published estimate expressed per cycle.

Work through Tower budgeting in this order:

  1. Identify the permanent zones and their remaining reward claims.
  2. Record Hazard rewards separately, with the current displayed deadline.
  3. Attempt the next attainable reward requirement using your existing teams.
  4. Move only collected Astrite into your spendable balance.
  5. Reassess remaining rewards after improving your account or combat execution.

Avoid letting the headline reward determine your investment by itself. If you are considering spending Astrite to chase a higher clear, compare that expenditure with the incremental reward you expect to gain. A full-mode total says little about the value of your next upgrade. Use the Tower of Adversity guide for the combat structure behind those decisions.

Separate Whimpering Wastes' monthly 800 from its permanent 800

Whimpering Wastes provides the clearest documented monthly Astrite figure in this source set. Its reward ledger lists 800 Astrite from one-time rewards and 800 Astrite from monthly rewards. Forbidden Waters supplies the permanent portion, while the Respawn areas refresh monthly. The combined 1,600 Astrite figure includes both portions; it is not a monthly allowance.

At the standard conversion, the monthly 800 Astrite equals five pulls. An account claiming both complete portions for the first time would collect the equivalent of ten pulls, with half of that coming from rewards it cannot count again next month.

Access requires Union Level 30, Rinascita story progress, and the tutorial quest. The mode contains 12 stages across three areas, with two halves per stage using teams of three Resonators. Its Tokens provide equippable run buffs. Those conditions explain why a new account should treat the monthly amount as an available reward target rather than automatic income.

Separate your current clear result from the mode's full reward capacity. If your teams can claim only part of the current rewards, budget that part after checking the reward screen. Do not replace it with the full 800 simply because another player earns the maximum.

The research also records no catch-up for missed monthly rewards. When your playtime is limited, check the current monthly deadline before spending a session on permanent cleanup. Secure attainable rewards, then decide whether another attempt is likely to reach the next reward requirement.

Your monthly note should contain the amount collected, what remains attainable, and which team or scoring problem prevents further progress. This makes the next month's preparation concrete. The Whimpering Wastes guide explains stages, scoring, and Tokens in more depth.

Use Depths of Illusive Realm as a separate cycle budget

Depths of Illusive Realm unlocks at Union Level 17 and is documented as a roguelike rotation with a themed iteration per version. Its recorded Astrite reward is approximately 800 per cycle, equivalent to roughly five pulls. That estimate belongs to the iteration's rewards as a whole, not to each run you complete.

The mode has no Waveplate cost and supplies maxed Resonators. That makes it worth inspecting even when your own roster still needs substantial development. Its buffs, Tokens, Metasymbols, and Thought Evolution upgrades create progression inside the mode, so an unsuccessful early run does not by itself tell you that your account needs more Convene spending.

Start with the available Resonators and the current objectives. Use runs to learn the available buff combinations, build the documented in-mode upgrades, and work toward unclaimed rewards. Check Anomaly Investigation achievements alongside the main progression, but do not assign them separate Astrite amounts absent from the research or add them on top of an aggregate that may already include them.

A useful record has one row for the current iteration, with claimed Astrite and remaining objectives. Repeated attempts belong under that row. Creating a new income entry for every run would confuse replayability with reward renewal.

Keep this mode separate from Phantasma Dreamland: Rhapsody, which the research identifies as a permanent weekly mode. The research does not specify its Astrite rewards, so this guide assigns it no numerical contribution. Use the Depths of Illusive Realm guide when choosing how to progress through the roguelike's systems.

Turn exploration progress into a claim checklist

Exploration contributes permanent reward opportunities, but the supplied files do not support a complete regional Astrite total. What they do document is the Pioneer Association in Jinzhou and exploration reward checkpoints at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. They also record Pioneer Rank EXP claims at those intervals and Survey Tasks unlocking at Union Level 14.

Regional progress reached Planning action
20% Check the first progress reward claim
40% Revisit the available progress rewards
60% Review your missing exploration categories
80% Compare remaining objectives with the next checkpoint
100% Check outstanding claims after completing progress

The documented progress categories include supply chests, Sonance Caskets, Resonance Beacons and Nexuses, defeated Tacet Discords, and puzzles or points of interest. Use those categories to diagnose an incomplete region. A low total percentage is less actionable than knowing which category you have barely explored.

Exact Astrite amounts for individual chests, casket exchanges, or Pioneer checkpoints are not supplied. You therefore should not assume that every listed activity pays Astrite directly or that every progress threshold has the same currency reward. Check the reward actually offered before adding it to your savings estimate.

For an exploration session:

  1. Choose an accessible region and inspect its current progress.
  2. Identify the next unclaimed checkpoint and the incomplete categories contributing to it.
  3. Group nearby objectives into a route, activating useful Resonance Beacons as you go.
  4. Review Sonance Casket exchange rewards and Pioneer Association claims afterward.
  5. Record Astrite received separately from Pioneer Rank EXP and other items.

Region Guide, added in version 3.0, provides another place to orient your exploration. For regional context, use the guides to Huanglong and nearby areas, Rinascita, and Lahai-Roi and the Roya Frostlands.

The current Pioneer Association rank cap remains unverified; the research's old cap report dates to 2024. No lifetime Pioneer reward total is calculated from it here. Your unclaimed rewards and visible progress thresholds provide a firmer basis for deciding where to spend your next session.

Check events and version login rewards individually

Limited campaigns can change your savings position, but the research does not contain a complete version 3.6 event reward table or a standard login payout guaranteed every version. Give each campaign its own entry with its actual reward type, access requirements, and displayed claim period.

Distinguish logging in from completing an event's reward conditions. A campaign might distribute Tides, a Resonator, materials, or a combination. Add Astrite to your Astrite balance, matching Tides to the relevant banner balance, and other rewards to your progression plan. This preserves the usefulness of every reward without assuming it can fund the same Convene.

Beyond the Waves, associated with Lollo Logistics, is documented as a recurring regional event series. Its activities use Adventure Logs and Adventure Packages at the Lollo courier truck. It is not a permanent weekly system, and the files do not give it a verified Astrite total. Inspect an active iteration's rewards before assigning it any pull value.

When reviewing a version's campaigns, use this order:

  1. Check which campaigns are actually available to your account.
  2. Read the reward currency and remaining claim conditions.
  3. Note any deadline that could arrive before your planned play session.
  4. Claim completed rewards and update the appropriate balance once.
  5. Keep incomplete objectives listed as potential income.

Historical campaign examples help explain reward types; they cannot establish present availability. Likewise, a version end date does not supply every event deadline within that version. Build your short-term plan from the campaigns you can see, then use the daily and weekly routine guide to fit those checks around your regular progression.

Interpret the second anniversary's 40 free pulls correctly

The official second-anniversary campaign is recorded as offering 40 free pulls, associated with version 3.3 on April 30, 2026. This is the documented anniversary figure used here. Broader community totals combining additional activities are not used as a replacement for that official campaign amount.

Forty pulls have a standard exchange value of 6,400 Astrite, calculated as 40 multiplied by 160. That comparison does not establish that the anniversary handed out 6,400 raw Astrite. The supplied research does not itemize the 40 pulls by Tide type or distribution method, so it also cannot establish how many belonged in a regular Featured Resonator budget.

Treat this as a historical reward record. If you received the rewards, they are already represented in your currency balance or past pulls. If you missed the campaign, its documented existence does not make it claimable in version 3.6. It also supplies no promise about the size or timing of another anniversary campaign.

Another documented historical example is Rebecca, a free 5★ Resonator from the version 3.4 collaboration login event, with a Union Level 10 requirement. A free Resonator can affect which roles you need to obtain through Convene, but it has no documented Astrite exchange value. Record that kind of benefit as roster progress, without adding imaginary pulls to your balance.

Redeem codes while their claim window is open

Redemption codes are a documented free source of Astrite and materials. The research records codes distributed through version livestreams and describes them as usually time-limited. It does not verify an active September code list, exact current payouts, or a universal expiry period.

Use the documented in-game route:

  1. Open the Terminal.
  2. Enter Settings.
  3. Select Other Settings.
  4. Open Redemption Code and enter the code from the relevant announcement.
  5. Confirm successful redemption and account for the reward you actually receive.

The research associates access with completing Chapter 1 Act 1, "Utterance of Marvels: I", and early Union Level progression. Its level estimate is approximate, so check whether the option is available instead of treating that estimate as an exact unlock threshold.

When you learn about a code, handling it promptly is more useful than storing it in a distant weekly checklist. Keep a redeemed status beside each code so an announcement repost does not become a second expected payout. Codes recorded from earlier livestreams are historical examples, not evidence that those codes still work. No expired or unverified code amount is included in the savings calculations below.

Keep your free savings available for your chosen target

A free-to-play budget excludes paid Lunite purchases, the Lunite Subscription, and the paid Insider Channel of Pioneer Podcast. The research documents a free Pioneer Podcast track but does not provide its Astrite reward table. Collect its available free rewards without assigning it an unsupported recurring Astrite income.

Pioneer Podcast also permits level purchases at 100 Astrite per level. Eight purchased levels would therefore cost 800 Astrite, equivalent to five standard-price pulls. If your immediate goal is a Featured Resonator, retaining that currency keeps the corresponding pull capacity available. Evaluate any such expenditure against the actual reward you want from the level purchase.

Apply the same opportunity-cost check to banner choices. Spending Astrite on Lustrous Tide reduces the currency available for Radiant Tide. A standard-banner result cannot advance your regular Featured Resonator pity because pity counts are separate between banner types.

Featured Weapon Convene has a different attraction: every 5★ obtained there is the featured weapon, with a guarantee within 80 pulls. Funding 80 pulls entirely with Astrite would still require 12,800 Astrite. Its absence of a 50/50 does not remove that cost from a character savings plan. Keep a separate weapon allowance if you choose to pursue one.

Coral rewards also deserve their own record. The research documents Afterglow Corals and shop exchanges but lacks a complete exchange-price and stock table. Count any relevant purchases after checking the shop; do not pre-credit a fixed rebate for pulls you have yet to make.

Set your savings target using pity and the 50/50

On regular Featured Resonator Convene, a 5★ is guaranteed within 80 pulls. When the featured guarantee is not active, the next 5★ has a 50% chance to be the featured Resonator. Losing that 50/50 makes the following 5★ the featured one. From zero pity without a guarantee, the worst case is therefore 160 pulls, or 25,600 Astrite if funded entirely with Astrite.

This separates two useful targets. Eighty pulls cover the next 5★ from zero pity. They cover the featured Resonator from zero pity only when its guarantee is already active. The research lists a 0.8% base 5★ rate, but an early result is not something a guaranteed savings plan can depend on.

Let p be the number of pulls already counted toward your next 5★ on the applicable Featured Resonator Convene. Your remaining worst-case pull requirement is:

  • Featured guarantee active: 80 minus p.
  • Featured guarantee inactive: 160 minus p.

The following values are arithmetic examples using the documented pity rules:

Current counted pity Featured guarantee Maximum additional pulls for featured Resonator Astrite equivalent before owned Tides
0 Inactive 160 25,600
0 Active 80 12,800
20 Inactive 140 22,400
20 Active 60 9,600
60 Inactive 100 16,000
60 Active 20 3,200

Check the relevant Convene record before choosing a row. Standard, weapon, and collaboration pulls cannot simply be combined with regular Featured Resonator pulls. This framework does not assume undocumented transfer rules for special banner variants.

After obtaining a 5★, reassess both the counted pity and featured guarantee before continuing. If your target arrives early, your remaining savings can stay reserved for another goal. If you lose the 50/50, calculate the remaining guaranteed path from the new state instead of continuing to use your pre-result estimate. Decide your spending ceiling before starting so the next decision follows your budget.

Calculate the gap with an account balance you can actually spend

Use three account inputs: Astrite owned, Radiant Tide owned, and the worst-case additional pulls calculated from your applicable pity state. Your available pulls equal owned Radiant Tide plus whole pulls from Astrite divided by 160. Subtract that capacity from the requirement to find your remaining pull gap.

For the exact Astrite gap, first subtract owned Radiant Tide from the required pulls, stopping at zero. Multiply the result by 160, then subtract your Astrite balance, again stopping at zero. This method credits leftover Astrite that a whole-pull count alone would hide.

Consider a hypothetical account with 6,400 Astrite, 10 Radiant Tide, and 20 counted pity. Its balance funds 50 additional pulls. These are example account values, not an estimate of what a player earns during a version.

Example guarantee state Maximum pulls still required Available pulls Remaining gap Additional Astrite needed
Active 60 50 10 pulls 1,600
Inactive 140 50 90 pulls 14,400

The balance is identical in both rows; the guarantee state changes the target substantially. That is why a savings note needs more than an Astrite total.

Now consider possible income separately. If the account can collect the full 800 monthly Astrite from Whimpering Wastes, the first row's gap would fall to 800 Astrite, or five pulls. An available Depths of Illusive Realm cycle offering approximately 800 could potentially cover the rest. Until those rewards are earned and claimed, they remain a plan for closing the gap.

A Hazard cycle could provide another approximately 800 under the documented estimate, but you must establish its availability and your attainable rewards separately. Adding all three gives roughly 2,400 Astrite, or 15 pulls, across those assumed available reward windows. It does not establish a universal monthly income, because the sources have different schedules and completion requirements.

Update your plan when rewards or your account state change

For a developing account, use unlocks to organize your next checks: Pioneer Association Survey Tasks at Union Level 14, Tower of Adversity at 15, Depths of Illusive Realm at 17, and Whimpering Wastes at 30 with its additional story and tutorial requirements. These are access milestones; they do not promise full reward clears at those levels.

For an established account, keep permanent exploration leftovers beside the active combat and event deadlines. Choose the next activity by its attainable reward and remaining availability. You do not need to schedule an entire future version to decide whether a current objective is worth a session.

After collecting a reward or making pulls:

  1. Update Astrite and each relevant Tide balance.
  2. Remove completed claims from outstanding income.
  3. Recheck your applicable pity and featured guarantee if you used Convene.
  4. Recalculate the remaining target gap.
  5. Choose the next accessible reward without assuming an unannounced campaign or banner date.

Several figures remain outside this budget: exact daily Activity Astrite, itemized quest and achievement payouts, chest and Pioneer reward amounts, a complete version event/login total, and current code payouts. The research also leaves Tower's reset interval disputed and the current Pioneer rank cap unverified. Add those amounts only when you can establish the actual claim; their omission here means the evidence is incomplete, not that your account cannot receive further free rewards.
